Definition:
Heat Resistant Fire Bricks generally refer to refractory bricks with a density less than 1.3 g/cm3. Due to the characteristics of low density, high porosity, small thermal conductivity, good thermal insulation and certain compressive strength, light-weight refractory bricks have been widely used in heat treatment equipment.
The materials of ordinary light-weight heat-resistant refractory bricks are clay, high-alumina high-strength floating bead bricks, low-iron mullite, high-aluminum poly light-insulating refractory bricks, and diatomaceous earth heat-resistant refractory bricks.
For strength products, high-quality plate-like corundum and mullite are used as aggregates, sillimanite composite is used as a matrix, special additives and a small amount of rare earth oxides are mixed, and then subjected to high-pressure molding and high-temperature firing.
Advantage:
1. It has advantages with small bulk density, high cold crushing strength, and high refractoriness under load, small dimension tolerance and good thermal shock resistance.
2. It has the lowest and most stable thermal conductivity in various insulating refractory bricks
3. It can reduce the total weight of furnace body and the thickness of furnace wall effectively, improve heat efficiency, lower energy consumption, improve work conditions and production efficiency, and considerable economic benefit can be obtained.
Application:
Heat Resistant Fire Bricks is widely used as a primary hot face refractory lining or as back-up insulation behind other refractories in furnace(such as carbon furnace,cracking furnace,heating furnace for oil refining,roller kiln, tunnel kiln.),flues, flues,refining vessels, heaters,regenerators and similar high temperature industrial equipment.
